Fidelity Bank Plc is set to promote sustainable growth among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through its 2026 Quarterly Business Forum, bringing together entrepreneurs, business owners and industry experts to explore business development strategies, effective governance and emerging opportunities.

The bank disclosed this ahead of the final edition of the forum series, scheduled to hold on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Barcelona Hotel, Wuse 2, Abuja, with the theme, Building Sustainable Businesses, Unlocking Growth, Governance and Opportunity in the FCT.

Speaking ahead of the event, the Divisional Head of SME Banking at Fidelity Bank Plc, Mrs Ugochi Osinigwe, said sustainable business growth depended on access to finance, sound governance, relevant business knowledge and strong business connections.

She said the forum was designed to provide business owners with practical insights, strengthen their capabilities and connect them with opportunities that could support their long-term success.

“At Fidelity Bank, we recognise that sustainable business growth requires a combination of access to finance, sound governance, relevant business knowledge and the ability to identify and maximise emerging opportunities,” Osinigwe said.

She added that the Abuja edition would reinforce the importance of building well-structured businesses capable of adapting to changing market conditions, improving operational efficiency and positioning themselves for expansion.

According to her, the forum would also provide participants with opportunities to engage with relevant business stakeholders and explore pathways to greater competitiveness and resilience.

The 2026 Quarterly Business Forum series has focused on promoting business engagement and knowledge sharing across the country. The Abuja edition is expected to build on previous sessions, with discussions centred on governance, resilience and sustainable business practices.

Fidelity Bank supports entrepreneurs through its SME Banking proposition and SME Hub, which provide capacity-building programmes, advisory services, networking opportunities and financial solutions tailored to business needs.

The forum will commence at 11 a.m. and is expected to attract entrepreneurs and other stakeholders seeking practical approaches to strengthening businesses and expanding their operations in the Federal Capital Territory.

Fidelity Bank Plc serves more than 9.1 million customers through digital banking channels, 255 business offices across Nigeria and its United Kingdom subsidiary, FidBank UK Limited.

The bank has received several local and international awards, including Best Bank for SMEs in Nigeria at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence and Export Financing Bank of the Year at the BusinessDay Banks and Financial Institutions Awards.
