Fidelity Bank Plc has reiterated its commitment to the growth of Nigeria’s beauty industry through financial services, business development initiatives and digital payment solutions aimed at empowering entrepreneurs, particularly women-owned businesses.
The bank’s commitment was highlighted at the commemorative dinner and awards ceremony of Beauty in the Motherland 2026, held on October 6 at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, where its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, received a special recognition award.
The recognition acknowledged her leadership and the bank’s contribution to the development of the beauty industry and the wider enterprise ecosystem in Nigeria.
Speaking at the ceremony, Onyeali-Ikpe said the bank’s sponsorship of the programme for the third consecutive year reflected its confidence in the sector and the entrepreneurs driving its growth.

She described the African beauty industry as vibrant, innovative and increasingly global, adding that Fidelity Bank would continue to equip entrepreneurs with relevant knowledge, financing, market access and other resources needed to build sustainable businesses.
Beyond its sponsorship of the event, the bank provided participating businesses with account-opening, payment and advisory services. It also served as the exclusive point-of-sale provider for the programme, facilitating transactions by exhibitors and encouraging the adoption of digital payment solutions.
The bank showcased financial products and services, including Fidelity POS Instant Settlement, PayGate Plus and SME accounts, while engaging exhibitors on financial management, business expansion and access to appropriate banking services.
The three-day Beauty in the Motherland 2026 programme attracted more than 3,000 attendees and over 300 exhibitors across skincare, haircare, cosmetics, fragrance, wellness and related segments.
The event featured product exhibitions, competitions, networking sessions and business discussions, providing entrepreneurs with opportunities to showcase their products, engage potential customers and establish relationships with distributors, partners and investors.
The commemorative dinner, hosted by Nancy Isime and Enioluwa Adeoluwa, brought together entrepreneurs, investors, industry leaders and creatives to celebrate achievements and explore opportunities across the beauty and lifestyle industry. Nigerian music star Yemi Alade also performed at the event.
The organisers, Beatrice Obinna Eneh and Linda Edozien, said the initiative was established to celebrate and advance the human and natural resources underpinning Africa’s beauty industry.
They added that its long-term ambition was to strengthen industry structures, empower entrepreneurs and improve access to markets.
Fidelity Bank supports small businesses through initiatives such as the Fidelity SME Hub, Fidelity Quarterly Business Forum, SME masterclasses, HerFidelity and FundHer. The platforms provide financing, capacity development, business advisory services, digital solutions and market access opportunities.
The bank’s sustained partnership with Beauty in the Motherland underscores its efforts to support businesses across the beauty value chain and expand opportunities for entrepreneurs seeking to grow their operations in Nigeria and beyond.
