JMG Limited has partnered with Lagos Business School (LBS) to promote leadership development and effective communication among emerging professionals through its sponsorship of a public-speaking competition organised for MBA students.
The competition, organised in collaboration with the LBS MBA Careers and Placement Unit, was held on September 26, 2026, under the Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) Mini-Keynote Speaking Competition initiative.
The partnership underscores the importance of communication, critical thinking and confidence in preparing future business leaders to navigate an increasingly competitive business environment.
JMG, which operates in power generation, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), solar energy and haulage, said its engagement with the institution reflected its commitment to developing talent and supporting initiatives that promote professional growth.
Speaking on the partnership, the company’s Chief Commercial Officer, Rabi Jammal, said businesses needed talented individuals capable of thinking critically, communicating effectively and leading with purpose.
“At JMG, we believe that sustainable growth is ultimately about people. Businesses need talented individuals who can think, communicate and lead effectively,” Jammal said.
He added that the collaboration provided an opportunity to support an institution shaping future leaders while helping emerging professionals develop their confidence and communication skills.
The competition offered participants a platform to present ideas, engage audiences and demonstrate the critical thinking and public-speaking abilities required for effective leadership.
As part of the engagement, JMG also introduced participants to its business operations, explaining how its solutions in power generation, climate control, solar energy and haulage support businesses, industries and infrastructure across Nigeria.
The company said the initiative formed part of its broader commitment to supporting personal and professional development beyond its commercial activities.
Lagos Business School is known for its focus on business and management education, leadership development and the preparation of professionals for leadership responsibilities.
JMG said the partnership reflected its belief that building sustainable businesses also required investing in the people and ideas that would shape the future of the business environment.
