Fearless Energy Drink has returned as the energy drink sponsor of Felabration 2026, with talent competitions and consumer rewards planned as part of efforts to promote creativity and self-expression among young Nigerians.
The festival, which runs from October 12 to 18 at the New Afrika Shrine in Ikeja, Lagos, is holding this year under the theme, “Who Are You?”, celebrating the individuality, creativity and bold expression associated with the late Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
Rite Foods Limited, makers of Fearless Energy Drink, disclosed the sponsorship in a statement, explaining that the brand’s participation would provide opportunities for emerging talents to showcase their abilities through rap and dance competitions.
The activities include the Fearless Rap Challenge, held on Tuesday, October 13, and the Fearless Dance Challenge, scheduled for Friday, October 16. Both competitions are expected to feature consumer rewards ahead of the festival’s grand finale on Sunday, October 18.
Speaking on the sponsorship, Brand Manager of Fearless Energy Drink, Adeniyi Aderuku, said the brand’s participation reflected its commitment to celebrating the creativity and individuality of young Nigerians.
“Fela challenged people to think differently, speak boldly, and stand for what they believe in. At Felabration, Fearless is creating opportunities for people to express themselves, showcase their talent, and be part of an experience that celebrates originality,” Aderuku said.
He added that the initiative was aimed at giving people the confidence and platform to showcase their abilities.
Fearless Energy Drink’s return builds on its previous involvement in the annual festival. In 2021, the brand presented a posthumous award to Fela at the Afrika Shrine in recognition of his courage, originality and contributions to African music.
In 2025, Fearless served as Felabration’s exclusive energy drink sponsor through its “Shakara, No Fear” campaign, which featured talent challenges designed to bring emerging performers into the spotlight.
This year’s festival features established and emerging artistes, including Femi Kuti and The Positive Force, Made Kuti, and Seun Kuti and Egypt 80, celebrating Afrobeat and its enduring influence on Nigerian music and culture.
Rite Foods said its continued participation in the festival reflected its investment in platforms that connect its brands with consumers through music, entertainment and shared cultural experiences.
