Access Bank UK Polo Day to Raise Funds for Vulnerable Children’s Education

Access Bank UK has said its 2026 Polo Day, scheduled for July 4 in Windsor, United Kingdom, will mobilise global support and raise funds to expand access to education for vulnerable children in Nigeria and other underserved communities.

The bank, in a statement on Tuesday, said the annual charity event will bring together business leaders, philanthropists, royalty and high-net-worth individuals to support education initiatives through partnerships with UNICEF and other local organisations.

According to the statement, proceeds from previous editions have funded projects aimed at improving access to classrooms, learning materials and quality education, enabling thousands of vulnerable children to remain in school despite economic and social challenges.

It said the 2026 edition is expected to expand the reach of the initiative by attracting more support for educational interventions.

The statement also announced that His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, will attend the event as Special Guest of Honour and present the Emir’s Cup.

It described the Emir as a prominent figure in Nigerian polo and community development, noting that his participation reflects the event’s commitment to combining tradition with philanthropy.

Managing Director of Access Bank UK, Jamie Simmonds, said the initiative demonstrates how strategic partnerships can create educational opportunities for disadvantaged children.

“The is event is about using our platform to create access where it is most needed. By bringing together the right partners and supporters, we are able to deliver outcomes that can make a real difference in the lives of many children,” Simmonds said.

Access Bank UK said the annual Polo Day has become a platform for mobilising resources to support education, expressing optimism that this year’s edition would help more vulnerable children remain in school and access better opportunities.
