Sanwo-Olu, Abiodun hail Oyebanji’s re-election, laud Ekiti voters

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and his Ogun State counterpart, Prince Dapo Abiodun, have congratulated Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, on his victory in Saturday’s governorship election, describing his re-election as a reflection of the people’s confidence in his leadership and the developmental strides recorded under his administration.

In separate congratulatory messages issued on Sunday, the two governors also commended the peaceful conduct of the election and expressed confidence that Governor Oyebanji would build on his achievements during his second term in office.

Sanwo-Olu said the governor’s overwhelming victory across the 16 local government areas of the state was a clear indication that the people of Ekiti appreciated his performance over the past four years.

“I congratulate my dear brother, Governor Biodun Oyebanji, on his well-deserved victory in the Ekiti State governorship election,” Sanwo-Olu said.

He also thanked the people of Ekiti for conducting themselves peacefully during the election and for renewing their confidence in the All Progressives Congress (APC). The Lagos governor further commended party leaders and members for their commitment and unity, expressing optimism that Oyebanji’s new mandate would usher in greater progress and prosperity for the state.

Similarly, Governor Abiodun described the outcome of the poll as a resounding endorsement of Oyebanji’s visionary leadership, remarkable achievements and unwavering commitment to the development of Ekiti State.

“This overwhelming mandate is a clear affirmation of the confidence the good people of Ekiti State have in your visionary leadership, remarkable achievements, and unwavering commitment to the development and prosperity of the state,” Abiodun stated.

According to him, the governor’s impressive margin of victory reflected the trust he had earned through purposeful governance and people-oriented policies.

Abiodun added that the re-election was not only a victory for the APC but also a testament to the enduring bond between the government and the people, expressing confidence that Oyebanji’s second term would consolidate on the gains already recorded and deliver greater progress for Ekiti State.
