APC congratulates Oyebanji on historic Ekiti re-election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on his re-election, describing his victory as a historic achievement and a clear endorsement of his administration by the people of the state.

In a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC said Oyebanji had become the first incumbent governor in Ekiti State’s contemporary democratic history to secure re-election.

The ruling party attributed the victory to the governor’s leadership style, people-oriented policies and commitment to the development of the state.

“Governor Oyebanji’s victory is epic as he becomes the first incumbent governor to win re-election in the state’s contemporary democratic history,” the statement said.

It added that the outcome of the election was “a loud demonstration of the confidence of Ekiti people in Governor Oyebanji, his visionary leadership, people-centered policies, and unflinching commitment to the development and progress of the state.”

The APC also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies and other stakeholders for their roles in ensuring what it described as a successful electoral process.

The party further applauded the people of Ekiti State for their peaceful conduct and active participation in the election, thanking them for their continued support for the APC and its progressive ideals.

Expressing optimism about the governor’s second term, the APC said it was confident that the administration would consolidate on its achievements, deliver more dividends of democracy and further advance President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in the state.
