The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, has reaffirmed the commitment of the Command to the protection of all residents and foreign nationals living in the state.
CP Fatai gave the assurance while receiving officials of the Thailand Embassy on a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters in Ikeja.
The delegation was led by the Deputy Director-General of the Thailand Embassy, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, who congratulated the police commissioner on his appointment and discussed issues relating to the security and safety of Thai citizens residing in Lagos State.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, SP Abimbola Adebisi, the delegation also sought sustained collaboration with the Command in ensuring the safety of Thai nationals and strengthening diplomatic relations.
Speaking during the visit, CP Fatai appreciated the delegation for the courtesy call and assured them of the Command’s readiness to respond promptly to security-related concerns.
He also emphasised the need to strengthen diplomatic and security ties between Nigeria and Thailand.
“The Command remains committed to the safety and security of all residents in Lagos State, including foreign nationals,” the police commissioner stated.
The visit further highlighted ongoing cooperation between the Lagos State Police Command and the international community in promoting peace, security and mutual understanding.
