The Managing Director of Rite Foods Limited, Seleem Adegunwa, has been named Industrialist of the Year by Vanguard Media Limited.
The development was revealed in a press statement made available to journalists, which noted that the award was presented at a ceremony held at the Convention Centre of Eko Hotel and Suites on Friday, April 24, 2026.
According to the statement, Adegunwa was recognised for his leadership and contributions to the growth of the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector in Nigeria.
It stated that under his leadership, Rite Foods has expanded its market presence through product innovation and improved distribution, contributing to increased competition within the industry.
Speaking at the event, Editor of Vanguard, Eze Anaba, commended Adegunwa’s role in driving the company’s growth, noting that the firm’s operations have also created employment opportunities across its value chain.
Receiving the award on his behalf, the company’s Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Ekuma Eze, described the recognition as a reflection of the company’s commitment to quality and innovation.
“This honor reflects the work we have done in challenging conventions and delivering products that resonate with consumers. It reinforces our belief that Nigerian companies can compete at the highest level,” he said.
The statement added that Rite Foods’ product portfolio, including its Bigi soft drinks, Fearless Energy Drink and Sosa Fruit Drink, has strengthened its position in the market.
It further noted that the company has continued to engage consumers through platforms such as sponsorship of Nigerian Idol.
