Fidelity Bank Plc has strengthened its support for women through HerFidelity, a women-focused proposition designed to provide access to finance, business education, enterprise support, networking and wellness opportunities.
The bank, in a statement made available to journalists, said the initiative was developed in response to the need for broader support for women seeking to advance their businesses, careers and personal development.
According to the bank, while access to finance remains important to women’s economic advancement, sustainable progress also requires practical knowledge, mentorship, professional relationships and attention to personal wellbeing.
It said HerFidelity brings these areas together through four major focus areas: financial support, business education and capacity building, entrepreneurship support, and health and wellness.
The bank said its FundHer initiative provides eligible women-led businesses with access to financing for working capital, asset acquisition and business expansion, subject to applicable terms and requirements.
It added that financial support is complemented by training, mentorship and networking opportunities aimed at helping women improve their financial and business decisions.
Fidelity Bank noted that access to experienced mentors and professional networks could help women entrepreneurs gain new perspectives, connect with potential customers and partners, identify new markets and avoid costly business mistakes.
The bank also highlighted the importance of health and wellness, noting that many women combine professional and entrepreneurial responsibilities with family commitments.
According to the statement, HerFidelity is designed to serve women at different stages of their personal, professional and entrepreneurial journeys, including young professionals, business owners and experienced executives.
The bank said the community approach would enable women to share knowledge, build relationships and create opportunities for one another.
It explained that a woman could enter the community seeking financial guidance or business support and subsequently develop entrepreneurial or professional relationships that could contribute to her long-term growth.
Fidelity Bank said the broader objective was to help women translate financial access into sustainable progress, while recognising their contributions to businesses, families and communities.
The bank maintained that supporting women beyond conventional banking transactions was increasingly important as more women build businesses, advance careers and contribute to economic development.
It said HerFidelity therefore represents a broader approach to women’s banking by combining financial services with opportunities for learning, networking, entrepreneurship and wellbeing.
