The Oyo/Osun Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has carried out a medical outreach for its officers and men as part of efforts to enhance personnel welfare and boost operational efficiency.
The outreach, which held from April 20 to April 24, 2026, covered officers across patrol teams and outstations within the Command.
According to a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Customs I, Akintola Abiodun Abdulmalik, the exercise was conducted through the Command’s Medical Unit under the leadership of the Acting Customs Area Controller, Deputy Comptroller Wale Moses Adewole.
He said the initiative was aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of personnel to strengthen their capacity to effectively discharge their duties.

The statement added that the medical team, led by Assistant Comptroller Jamila Ukpo, visited key outstations and patrol bases where officers received medical checkups and basic healthcare services.
The Command noted that the outreach underscores the importance of sound health in achieving optimal performance and maintaining high standards of service delivery, adding that it remains committed to initiatives that support the welfare, morale and productivity of its personnel.
