Fidelity Bank Plc has sponsored the 2026 Young Innovators Camp, a free educational initiative organised by MONAT to equip children with practical skills in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), as part of efforts to prepare the next generation for a technology-driven future.
The camp, which commenced on July 20, 2026, offers children aged four to 10 years hands-on learning in STEM, financial literacy, creativity and problem-solving through practical sessions designed to stimulate innovation and critical thinking.
The bank disclosed this in a statement, noting that the initiative forms part of its commitment to supporting education, youth development and innovation through strategic corporate social responsibility programmes.
Speaking on the partnership, Divisional Head, Brand and Communications, Fidelity Bank Plc, Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, said the bank believes children should be exposed to science and technology from an early age to enable them develop the skills required for the future.
“The future will be shaped by those who can solve problems, think creatively, and harness technology to improve lives. Through the Young Innovators Camp, we are giving children the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics in a fun, practical and engaging way that inspires curiosity, builds confidence and encourages innovation,” he said.
Nwagboh added that Fidelity Bank considers STEM education a strategic investment in Nigeria’s future, stressing that the partnership with MONAT is aimed at raising a generation equipped to solve real-world challenges and contribute meaningfully to national development.
According to the statement, participants will be introduced to age-appropriate STEM concepts through guided practical sessions, small-group learning, creative activities and financial literacy classes designed to build confidence and encourage innovation.
The bank noted that the initiative complements its existing education-focused interventions, including the SWEETA programme, and aligns with its broader corporate social responsibility agenda centred on youth empowerment, education, skills development and expanding access to opportunities.
It added that participants will receive educational resource packs containing STEM learning materials to encourage continued learning beyond the camp.
