GTBank Bags Nigeria’s Best Digital Bank Award

Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) has been named Nigeria’s Best Digital Bank at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026, in recognition of its achievements in digital banking innovation and customer-focused financial services.

The award was presented at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026 ceremony held on July 17 at The Peninsula London, bringing together leading financial institutions, industry executives and policymakers from across the world.

GTBank disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday, stating that the award recognises the bank’s sustained investment in technology, innovation and digital solutions that have enhanced banking services for individuals and businesses.

The statement noted that the annual Euromoney Awards for Excellence honour financial institutions that demonstrate outstanding performance, innovation, customer service and leadership across global markets.

Commenting on the recognition, the Managing Director of Guaranty Trust Bank Ltd, Mrs. Miriam Olusanya, said the award reflects the bank’s commitment to making financial services more accessible through technology.

“This recognition is a testament to the legacy upon which GTBank was built and the vision that continues to guide us today. From inception, our goal has been to deliver on the Group’s vision to make end-to-end financial services accessible to everyone by leveraging technology to remove barriers, simplify experiences, and create meaningful value for our customers,” she said.
Olusanya added that the recognition would inspire the bank to further strengthen its digital banking offerings.

“While we are honoured by this recognition, we see it as an acknowledgement of what we have achieved and a motivation to do even more. We remain focused on raising the bar for digital banking, investing in innovative solutions, and delivering exceptional experiences that create lasting value for our customers,” she added.

According to the statement, GTBank has continued to expand its digital banking services through platforms such as the GTWorld mobile application and other technology-driven solutions designed to provide customers with secure and convenient access to financial services.
