Over 400 residents of Ososa community in Ogun State have received free medical care following an outreach by Rite Foods Limited in partnership with the Atti Theresa Foundation (ATF), aimed at bridging healthcare access gaps in underserved areas.

The intervention, held recently provided essential services including general consultations, eye care with prescription glasses, dental treatment, physiotherapy, and free medications.

According to a statement made available to journalists early this week by Adejoke Salami, Media Executive, the initiative is part of Rite Foods’ sustainability agenda focused on community development and improved quality of life.

The outreach prioritised vulnerable groups, including women, children, the elderly, and low-income residents, many of whom lack access to affordable healthcare.

Beyond treatment, beneficiaries were also educated on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention, a move aimed at promoting long-term health awareness within the community.

A breakdown of services showed that 401 residents benefited from the exercise, comprising 18 children, 136 males, and 247 females, with cases of hypertension, infections, and vision-related conditions identified early for prompt intervention.

Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Manager of Rite Foods, Dennis Aideloje, said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to delivering measurable social impact.

He noted that the company’s approach is driven by the belief that business success should translate into tangible improvements in people’s lives.

Founder of ATF, Aprezi Eniye Kelvin, commended the partnership, describing it as a practical demonstration of how collaboration can expand access to critical healthcare services in local communities.

A beneficiary, Mrs. Adeola Ogunleye, said the outreach provided rare access to medical care many residents could not ordinarily afford.

Community participation was further boosted by the Bigi Fans Club, whose mobilisation efforts ensured a strong turnout.

The outreach underscores the growing role of private sector partnerships in addressing healthcare gaps at the grassroots, particularly in communities where access to basic medical services remains limited.
