The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two suspected members of the Eiye Confraternity and recovered a locally made cut-to-size pistol in Ajah, following intelligence on alleged cult-related activities in the area.
The suspects, identified as Idris Rasak, 26, also known as Aloss, and Ibrahim Kazeem, 25, alias Asunmo Kebe, were arrested by operatives of the Command’s Violent Crime Response Unit (VCRU) over their alleged involvement in cult activities around Addo Road, Ajah.
The police said the suspects, during interrogation, reportedly confessed to being members of the Eiye Confraternity and subsequently led operatives to the Waterside area of Addo, where the firearm was recovered.

The suspects are currently in police custody as investigations continue to establish the extent of their alleged activities and identify other persons who may be connected to the case.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, reiterated the Command’s commitment to tackling cultism and other violent crimes through intelligence-led operations.
He urged members of the public to provide credible information to the police to support crime prevention and enhance the safety and security of residents across the state.
This was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday, October 20, by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi.
