Bigi Carbonated Soft Drink and Fearless Energy Drink, brands from the stable of Rite Foods Limited, are set to bring music, talent discovery and entertainment to students of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Lagos.

The three-day campus engagement, scheduled for September 15 to 17, 2026, will be held as part of the brands’ ongoing partnership with Soundcity OnTour, with activities designed to promote student participation, creativity and self-expression.

According to a statement issued by Rite Foods, the programme will begin with campus activations aimed at building excitement among students, before the Bigi Music Competition takes centre stage on the second day.

The competition will provide aspiring student musicians with an opportunity to showcase their talents before a wider audience, with the eventual YABATECH campus winner expected to receive a ₦1 million prize.

The statement said the winning talent would also progress to the national stage, where participants would have opportunities for further exposure and development.

In addition to music, students will participate in the Fearless Dance Challenge, which will provide a platform for dancers within the institution to compete and showcase their skills.

Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, Rite Foods Limited, Ekuma Eze, said the brands were committed to creating platforms that reflect the creativity and aspirations of young Nigerians.

“Young people are not waiting for culture to happen; they are creating it every day,” Eze said.

He added that through the Bigi and Fearless brands, Rite Foods sought to provide young people with platforms to express themselves, discover their capabilities and connect with opportunities beyond their immediate environment.

The three-day engagement will climax on September 17 with the Soundcity OnTour concert, featuring music performances and other entertainment activities for students.

Rite Foods said the initiative was designed to go beyond a conventional concert by placing students at the centre of the experience through talent discovery, competition and opportunities for self-expression.
