Tegbe Foundation Empowers 60 Small Businesses, Social Enterprises In Oyo

The Tegbe Foundation has empowered 60 small businesses and social enterprises across Oyo State with grants ranging from ₦100,000 to ₦500,000 each, with the majority of the beneficiaries being youth-led enterprises.

The beneficiaries were supported under the Foundation’s empowerment initiative, tagged #JTstrikesDiamond, which culminated in a closing ceremony in Ibadan on August 17, 2026.

The initiative was conceived to mark the 60th birthday of the Founder of Tegbe Foundation, Mogaji Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe, while the presentation ceremony was held in commemoration of International Youth Day.

According to the Executive Director of Tegbe Foundation, Mr Femi Adeleke, the initiative was designed to provide practical support for young entrepreneurs and contribute to economic development across the state.

“This is more than support, it’s an investment in youth development, entrepreneurship, and a stronger economic future,” Adeleke said.

He said the empowerment programme reflected the Foundation’s continued commitment to creating opportunities for young people and strengthening small businesses and social enterprises.

The closing ceremony attracted stakeholders, government representatives and community leaders, including Oloye Denrele Lekan-Salami, Ajia Balogun Olubadan; Engr. Bode Johnson; Hon. Hafiz Oladejo, Special Adviser to the Honourable Minister on Stakeholder Engagement; Asiwaju Tayo Alabi; Chief Mrs Funmilayo Arulogun; Hon. Inaolaji Akinloye; and Hon. Raji Draj Ademola.

Several of the guests delivered goodwill messages and expressed support for the Foundation’s interventions in youth development, entrepreneurship and community empowerment.

The Foundation said the initiative achieved its objective of empowering 60 beneficiaries across Oyo State, providing direct financial assistance to youth-led enterprises and other small businesses while reinforcing its commitment to enterprise development.
