The inauguration, held on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Downtown Estate, Simawa, is expected to provide property owners and residents with an organised platform to address concerns, promote accountability and contribute to the security and development of the estate.

At the ceremony, the Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer of Adron Group, Sir Aare Adetola Emmanuel King KOF, urged the newly inaugurated executives to prioritise residents’ interests and work towards building a peaceful, orderly and thriving community.

He noted that the development of an estate depended not only on the infrastructure provided by the developer but also on the commitment of the people who lived there.

According to him, the transformation of the estate from unoccupied land into a growing neighbourhood marked a significant stage in its development, requiring greater responsibility from both the residents and their representatives.

He charged the executives to approach their responsibilities with maturity, stressing the need to listen to residents, maintain constructive dialogue and resolve disagreements without damaging relationships.

Sir Aare Adetola also observed that the estate’s reputation, security and peaceful atmosphere were important to protecting the value of property owners’ investments.

He said residents must take an active role in shaping their community, adding that the success of an estate could not be achieved solely through decisions taken by the developer.

In the Uptown Zone, Mrs Augustina Chuks was inaugurated as chairman, while Mrs Ogunba-Ojo Hutawa Aderonke emerged as secretary-general.

For the Downtown Zone, Alhaji Akeem Segun Koletowo was inaugurated as chairman, with Mr Alex O. Ohanwadi as secretary-general.

Hon. Mrs Wale Fayemi and Mr Lateef Eniola were represented at the event by their daughter and wife, respectively.

Also speaking, the Managing Director of Adron Homes, Adenike Ajobo, acknowledged the challenges the company had encountered in the course of its growth, describing them as part of the process of building a stronger organisation.

She called on homeowners, property investors and residents to unite under AHPORA, emphasising the importance of collective participation in the estate’s continued development.

Ajobo said the association provided an avenue for residents to work together towards achieving shared goals and improving the community.

The event also recognised the contributions of two homeowners who requested anonymity for their support for the estate’s security and maintenance.

The homeowners donated a motorcycle and security equipment to assist security personnel with mobility and patrols. They also contributed to the painting of the estate’s gate post and provided food items and additional security equipment for security personnel.

The donations highlighted the role residents could play in supporting security operations and maintaining facilities within the estate.

The royal father of the day, HRH Oba Peter Oluwole Ogunbayo (Otete III), the Odemo of Isara Remo, attended the ceremony.

The newly inaugurated executives are expected to serve as a link between residents and Adron Homes by communicating homeowners’ concerns, following up on estate-related issues and encouraging cooperation on matters affecting the community.

Sir Aare Adetola expressed hope that the executives would leave a positive legacy through their service, saying their successors should be able to acknowledge that the estate had improved under their leadership.
