JMG Limited has commissioned an advanced hybrid solar power system at its Victoria Island branch in Lagos as part of efforts to promote reliable, sustainable and cost-effective energy solutions for businesses in Nigeria.
The project, unveiled on July 29, 2026, integrates a 66kWp high-efficiency solar photovoltaic (PV) system, 80kW hybrid inverter capacity and 81.92kWh lithium battery storage to provide a reliable energy platform while reducing dependence on diesel-powered electricity generation.
The company disclosed this in a statement signed by its Media Executive, Cyrena Novia, noting that the installation was designed using advanced load analysis and PV system simulation software. According to the statement, the system is expected to generate about 94.8MWh of clean electricity annually, supplying approximately 80 per cent of the branch’s energy needs.
JMG said the hybrid system is also projected to reduce diesel consumption by about 28,000 litres annually, resulting in an estimated ₦50 million in yearly fuel cost savings while preventing more than 37 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions from being released into the atmosphere.
The company explained that the installation features LONGi solar modules, Deye hybrid inverters and Deye high-voltage lithium battery storage, enabling intelligent energy management, seamless backup power and improved operational efficiency.
Speaking on the development, JMG’s Head of Solar Division, Hussein Abbas, said the company was demonstrating confidence in its renewable energy solutions by deploying them within its own operations.

The Victoria Island Branch now serves as a real-world example of how businesses can improve energy reliability, reduce operating costs and accelerate their sustainability goals through intelligent hybrid power systems,” Abbas said.
JMG noted that the Victoria Island branch will also serve as a live demonstration facility where customers, consultants and project developers can experience its commercial hybrid solar solutions in a real business environment.
