The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, on Tuesday decorated Dr Opeyemi Ojo with the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) following his promotion from the Inspectorate cadre.
The decoration ceremony, held at the Command Headquarters in Ikeja, came after the recommendation of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, and the approval of the Police Service Commission for the conversion of the medical doctor to the rank of Superintendent of Police.
The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, SP Abimbola Adebisi.
Speaking at the ceremony, CP Fatai described the promotion as a well-deserved recognition of Dr Ojo’s professional competence, dedication and invaluable contributions to healthcare service delivery within the Nigeria Police Force.
He urged the newly promoted officer to remain steadfast in the discharge of his duties and uphold both the ethics of the medical profession and the core values of the Nigeria Police Force.
“The promotion is a recognition of his professional competence, dedication and invaluable contributions to healthcare service delivery within the Nigeria Police Force,” the commissioner said.
The Lagos State Police Command congratulated SP Opeyemi Ojo on the promotion and wished him continued success in his career and service to the nation.
