The Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, CP Bode Ojajuni, has commended the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA), Ogun State Chapter, for its unwavering support towards the welfare and morale of police officers and their families.
Ojajuni gave the commendation while receiving members of the association, led by its Acting Chairperson, Mrs. Bolanle Adeoye, during a courtesy visit to the Ogun State Police Command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, on Saturday.
According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, the police commissioner described POWA as a vital pillar in strengthening the emotional and social stability of officers, especially those engaged in demanding operational duties.

“POWA remains a critical partner in sustaining the morale and welfare of police families. Its contributions to community development and welfare support complement the efforts of the Command in building a resilient and motivated workforce,” Ojajuni said.
He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to maintaining a strong partnership with the association and encouraged it to sustain programmes aimed at promoting unity, empowerment and welfare enhancement within police families.
Earlier, Mrs. Adeoye praised the commissioner for what she described as his exemplary leadership, professionalism and commitment to the welfare of officers and their families.

She said the association remained committed to strengthening family support systems, promoting unity and complementing the efforts of the Nigeria Police Force in improving the well-being of personnel.
Adeoye also lauded the commissioner for creating a conducive environment that supports discipline, stability and effective policing operations in the state, while assuring him of the association’s continued collaboration in advancing welfare-oriented initiatives.
The statement added that members of the Command’s management team also commended POWA for its sustained support and urged the association to continue promoting family stability, welfare advancement and positive values within the police community.
