Rite Foods Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to the sponsorship of the 2026 edition of the Ojude Oba Festival, describing the cultural celebration as a symbol of unity, heritage, and communal pride in Ijebu-land.

The company said its continued involvement reflects its long-standing relationship with its host communities in Ososa, Ogun State, where it operates, and its commitment to cultural preservation and community development.

This year’s edition, themed “Ojude Oba 2026: Celebrating the Legacy of Oba Sikiru Adetona,” will honour the late Awujale of Ijebu-land, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, in recognition of his historic reign and contributions to the development of the kingdom.

Speaking at a press conference announcing the festival plans, Brand Manager of Fearless Energy Drink, Olaniyi Aderuku, said the company’s support goes beyond sponsorship.

“At Rite Foods, we believe our role extends beyond operating within a community. We must grow with the people, celebrate their identity, and contribute meaningfully to preserving their heritage,” he said.

He added that the partnership between the festival and Fearless Energy Drink aligns with shared values of confidence, creativity, and self-expression.

“As Nigeria’s number one energy drink, Fearless represents courage, ambition and the confidence to push boundaries. The Ojude Oba Festival reflects these values through culture, fashion, horsemanship and pride,” he added.

Aderuku said festival attendees will be treated to a range of products from Rite Foods, including Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks, Bigi Premium Water, Sosa Fruit Drink, Fearless Energy Drink, and its sausage brands.

Coordinator of the Ojude Oba Festival Organising Committee, Prof. Fassy Yusuf, described the festival as a symbol of religious harmony and cultural unity among the Ijebu people.

He said this year’s edition will also celebrate the legacy of the late Awujale, alongside traditional attractions such as the regberegbe age-grade groups and equestrian displays by 25 warrior-lineage families.

Ogun State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Oluwasesan Fagbayi, who represented Governor Dapo Abiodun, described the festival as a major driver of tourism and economic growth in the state.

He assured that the government remains committed to sustaining an enabling environment for cultural festivals in Ogun State.

The 2026 Ojude Oba Festival is expected to attract thousands of participants, tourists, and cultural enthusiasts from within and outside Nigeria.
