Promasidor Nigeria has called for stronger support systems to improve child well-being and reduce inequalities affecting families across Nigeria as the world commemorates the International Day of Families.
The company made the call while marking this year’s celebration themed, “Families, Inequalities and Child Wellbeing,” stressing the need to address gaps in access to nutrition, education, healthcare and opportunities for children.
Chief Executive Officer of Promasidor Nigeria, François Gillet, said investing in families remains critical to sustainable national development.
“Families are the foundation of every society, and the well-being of children reflects the strength of that foundation. Addressing inequalities that limit access to proper nutrition and care is not only important, but essential to sustainable development,” Gillet said.
He noted that the company has remained committed to making quality nutrition accessible to households despite prevailing economic challenges facing many families.
According to him, Promasidor brands such as Cowbell, Loya Milk, Onga, Top Tea, Kremela, Twisco and Miksi continue to support nutrition in millions of homes across the country.
The company also highlighted its social impact initiatives, including the Ikun Dairy Farm in Ekiti State, which promotes local economic inclusion, as well as education-focused programmes aimed at empowering young Nigerians.
Promasidor maintained that improving child well-being requires sustained investment in systems that strengthen families and create equal opportunities for children to thrive.
It added that reducing inequality and supporting healthier family environments would contribute to stronger communities and national development.
