Rite Foods Limited has joined the rest of the world in celebrating Mother’s Day, paying tribute to the strength, resilience, sacrifice and nurturing spirit of women and mothers whose contributions continue to shape families, workplaces and society.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the company described mothers as the foundation of stable homes and thriving communities, noting that their everyday sacrifices and commitment remain critical to national development.
Rite Foods also commended women within its workforce for successfully balancing career responsibilities with motherhood, while contributing meaningfully to the growth of the organisation.
Speaking on the significance of the celebration, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Rite Foods, Seleem Adegunwa, described mothers as one of society’s greatest pillars whose impact transcends generations.
“Mothers embody strength, selflessness, resilience, and love. They are builders of families, shapers of values, and drivers of progress. Their ability to give endlessly, nurture consistently, and rise above challenges deserves not just recognition, but deep appreciation and celebration,” Adegunwa stated.
He added that the company remains proud to honour women and mothers whose dedication continues to inspire excellence both at home and in the workplace.
The company reaffirmed its commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive work environment where women are empowered to grow professionally while balancing family life.
Rite Foods further noted that mothers play a central role in creating meaningful family moments through shared meals, school runs and other daily experiences that strengthen family bonds.

Also speaking, the Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Rite Foods, Ekuma Eze, praised the resilience and invaluable contributions of women in the workplace and society.
“The strength of women and mothers is extraordinary. Their resilience, patience, compassion, and ability to hold families together while excelling professionally are truly inspiring,” Eze said.
He added that women remain “the backbone of families, the heartbeat of communities, and a vital force in nation-building.”
