A Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, has ordered the final forfeiture of a four-bedroom duplex located in Lagos State to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The judgment was delivered on Friday, May 8, 2026, by Justice Dehinde Dipeolu following a motion on notice brought before the court.
The property, situated at No. 21A, Victory Estate, Ago Palace Way, Ojo Peter Street, Lagos State, was reportedly linked to Chidiebere Onyeoma Okeke, who is currently under investigation over alleged foreign exchange fraud and money laundering activities.
The application for forfeiture was filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) through its Lagos Zonal Directorate 1, with counsel H.U. Kofarnaisa representing the anti-graft agency in court.
The court held that the property was reasonably suspected to be proceeds of unlawful financial dealings and therefore liable to forfeiture in favour of the Federal Government.
The EFCC has continued investigations into the matter as part of ongoing efforts to combat financial crimes and recover illicit assets across the country.
