The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Tijani Olaiwola Fatai, has reaffirmed the command’s commitment to robust inter-agency collaboration following a series of strategic visits to key military formations across the state.

The engagements, held on Wednesday, were aimed at deepening operational coordination and reinforcing joint responses to evolving security challenges in Lagos.

At the 9 Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Ikeja, the police boss was received by the Commander, Brigadier General Ayokunle Owolabi. Deliberations focused on strengthening ongoing joint internal security operations and sustaining collaborative efforts to safeguard lives and property.

Similarly, during his visit to the 651 Base Service Group Headquarters of the Nigerian Air Force in Ikeja, CP Fatai held talks with the Commander, Air Commodore M. A. Imam, where issues of intelligence sharing, professionalism, and enhanced operational synergy were discussed.

At the Nigerian Navy Ship Beecroft in Apapa, he was received by the Commander, Commodore Aiwuyor Adams-Aliu. Discussions centred on strengthening collaboration in securing Lagos waterways and improving coordination during joint operations.

Speaking during the visits, CP Fatai emphasised that effective policing in a complex and strategic environment like Lagos requires seamless cooperation among all security agencies. He stressed that unity of purpose, mutual trust, and coordinated action remain critical to combating crime and protecting critical national assets.

The Commissioner of Police also commended the Armed Forces for their sustained support to the Lagos State Police Command, noting that such collaboration remains vital to maintaining law and order and addressing emerging security threats.

He reiterated the command’s resolve to continue strengthening partnerships with relevant stakeholders to ensure enduring peace, public safety, and a conducive environment for socio-economic activities across Lagos State.
