The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, on Friday led an inspection of Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across the state to assess security deployment for the ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Ojajuni, accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, DCP Bolanle Muritala, said the exercise was aimed at ensuring a safe and conducive environment for candidates sitting the examination.
The police boss expressed satisfaction with the professionalism of officers on duty, noting that adequate measures had been put in place to safeguard students and maintain order at the centres.
He assured parents, guardians and other stakeholders of comprehensive security coverage throughout the examination period, stressing that the command would not compromise on the safety of candidates.
Ojajuni also urged candidates to remain orderly and cooperate with security personnel to ensure a hitch-free exercise.
The Ogun State Police Command reiterated its commitment to sustaining law and order across all examination venues in the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in Abeokuta on Friday.
