Despite recent arrival of special squad from the Inspector General of Police, residents of Lagos state especially those living around Egbeda, Igando area are running for their dear lives following unabated attacks by some hoodlums popularly known as one million boys.
Blueprint reported that the hoodlums in large number comprising of hefty young boys and girls have been terrorising the areas unabated.
A resident of the area who pleaded anonymity said their lives are always in danger day and night as they are subjected to fear of teh unknown.
“Our lives are in great danger day and night. We can’t even sleep. The worst part is that we don’t know what to do especially at this lockdown period everyone is not allowed to live where he or she is.
“The few security men in our area disappear anytime these people are coming. Except for the resident youths that block them at some point, the situation would have been worse.
Effort to speak to Police authorities in the area hasn’t yielded fruit as text or calls put across have not been responded to.
