OPINION: A Passionate Appeal To Nigerian Youth by Dr Thomas Wilson Ikubese

It is the dream of the Old Brigades, to see the youths fight each other in support of different Presidential Aspirants in the 2019 Presidential election.

We came together under PACT to synergise our efforts and present ONE candidate in unison, so that Nigerians youths, who make up about 70% of the Nigerian population and all lovers of a new Nigeria can cast their votes for that Candidate, rather than scatter their votes to the advantage of the Old Brigades.

Fela Durotoye emerged.

Many are happy. Others grumble. No, PACT should have chosen Aspirant A. No, it should have been Aspirant B, C or even D, each advocate proposing different reasons.
2019 presents to us a golden opportunity to snatch our country from the jaws of the Old Brigades that have run it aground over the years. We can’t afford to blow this chance!
Please let’s not fight each other over the choice of who should represent all of us at the polls in 2019. This is the desire of our Slavemasters, that we hold each other by the jugular.
Politics is dynamic.
We shall keep the doors open.
We shall continue to engage.
We shall endeavour to see that at the end of the day, we are all on the same page for the good of our nation.
Presidential election is still about 5 months away. A lot of dynamics will yet come to play in the coming days…
I appeal to the supporters of each New Breed Presidential Aspirant to please sheath their swords. Let’s reserve those energy for the general election and use it to collectively fight the Old Brigades who have rendered our nation lifeless .

In the days ahead, we shall yet converge. They feel we can’t come together. They’re laughing at us now. But we shall sure have the last laugh. For we shall soon re-converge, as many Aspirants as are aggrieved; bigger, stronger and more united, to defeat the counsel of our Oppresors!
