Ojajuni receives Immigration Comptroller, pledges stronger security collaboration

The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, has reaffirmed the command’s commitment to strengthening interagency collaboration with the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) to enhance security and public safety across the state.

Ojajuni gave the assurance when he received the Comptroller of the NIS, Ogun State Command, CIS Ganiyu Oladele, and members of his entourage during a courtesy visit to the Police Command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, on Thursday.

The visit was aimed at strengthening existing interagency synergy, enhancing intelligence sharing and consolidating joint security initiatives across Ogun State.

According to a statement issued by the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi B. Babaseyi, on Thursday, the Immigration Comptroller commended Ojajuni for his leadership and the operational strides recorded by the command since his assumption of office.

Oladele also stressed the importance of seamless cooperation between the NIS and the Nigeria Police Force, noting that proactive intelligence sharing and joint vigilance were critical to safeguarding internal security and maintaining border integrity.

Responding, Ojajuni welcomed the Immigration Comptroller and his delegation, stressing that effective security governance depended largely on strong collaboration among security and law enforcement agencies.

The Commissioner said the Police Command remained ready to sustain a cordial working relationship with the NIS in order to ensure peace and public safety across Ogun State.

“Effective security governance relies on strong interagency partnerships,” Ojajuni said, while reiterating the command’s readiness to support initiatives aimed at achieving their shared national security objectives.

The Commissioner of Police also wished Oladele a successful and impactful tenure as the Ogun State Immigration Comptroller, assuring him of the command’s continuous support in advancing their common security objectives.
