Popular Nigerian entertainer Carter Efe produced a dominant display to defeat street-hop singer Portable and claim the title at Chaos in the Ring 4 held in Lagos.
The highly anticipated contest, staged Friday at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, ended in a unanimous decision after three rounds, with judges awarding all rounds to Efe.
Portable, who had recorded previous victories over Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington, began aggressively, pressing forward in search of an early advantage. However, Efe remained composed, using controlled movement and accurate punches to neutralise the early pressure.
As the bout progressed, Efe dictated the pace with cleaner strikes, while Portable’s intensity waned. By the final round, Efe was firmly in control, sealing a comfortable victory and ending his opponent’s unbeaten run.
The event, organised by Balmoral Group in collaboration with AK Promotions, linked to former world champion Amir Khan, was sanctioned by the Nigeria Boxing Board of Control.
The bout highlights the rising appeal of celebrity boxing in Nigeria, as entertainers continue to draw large audiences by taking their rivalries into the ring.
