Police, FUMMSA Partner on Campus Security in Ogun

The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, has reiterated the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to strengthening security across academic institutions in the state.

Ojajuni stated this while receiving the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Medicine and Medical Sciences, Abeokuta (FUMMSA), Prof. Fatiu Abiola Arogundade, and his management team during a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta.

The visit underscored the growing need for strategic collaboration between security agencies and tertiary institutions, particularly in safeguarding students, staff, and critical infrastructure.



Both parties discussed proactive measures to tackle emerging security threats, with emphasis on improved intelligence sharing and sustained engagement between the university community and the Police.

The Police Commissioner commended the Vice Chancellor for the initiative, describing it as a step in the right direction towards ensuring a safer academic environment.

He assured that the Command would continue to provide adequate security support to guarantee peace and stability necessary for academic excellence in Ogun State.
