A middle aged woman, Mrs. Fatima Yusuf, who was recently delivered of a set of triplets in the Ikaram community, of Akoko North West local government area of Ondo state, is calling on the state government and well meaning Nigerians to come to her aid and help her financially as she is financially unable to care for the triplets.

The fate of the set of triplets born by a poor woman who already had four children before she was delivered of the triplets hang in a balance as their poor parents who was expecting one child struggle to keep up feeding and taking care of them.

The triplets mother, a petty trader, Fatima Yusuf however called on the state governor, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, his wife Mrs. Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu and other well meaning Nigerians to come to their aids in making the children to survive.

The babies according to the Nurse, Mr. Femi Omojola who successfully took the delivery at Ikaram Akoko Health Centre said the weight of the babies are 3.4kg, 3.4kg and 3.5kg respectively.

Examining the health conditions of the new babies was the Primary Healthcare Coordinator for Akoko Northwest Local Government, Dr Barnabas Aliu, he commended the medical team that successfully took the delivery.

He however enjoined members of the public to patronize primary health facilities in the rural and urban communities with adequate equipment and qualified health personnels instead of going to quarks where they will endanger their lives.

Dr. Aliu said Ikaram community has done alot to provide robust support for the Primary Health Centre in the town.

The Chairman Health Committee of the Centre, Sheik Basiru Aminu commended Ondo government, UNICEF and Akoko Northwest Local Government for their ceaseless efforts on health care matters.

He however pleaded to the government to look into manpower shortage facing the health sector particularly now that covid 19 is ravaging the globe.

The Akala of Ikaram, Oba Andrew momodu congratulated the parents of the triplets for successful delivery, promising that the community will assist the children to survive.

The mother of the triplets who described herself as very indigent and poor called on the state governor, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu and his wife Mrs. Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu and well meaning Nigerians to come to their aids in making the children to survive.
