…Disowns Gaidom As Member NWC

The National Working Committee (NWC) of All Progressive Congress APC after meeting on Wednesday in Abuja affirmed Senator Abiola Ajimobi as acting National Chairman of the party.
Rising from its 45th emergency meeting, which had 15 of the 21 NWC members in attendance, the committee affirmed the leadership of Ajumobi.

Those in attendance included, APC National Vice Chairman South South Hillard Eta,National Secretary Waziri Bulama, National Women leader Hajia Salamatu Baiwa Umar and National organization Secretary Emma Ibediroh and 11 others.

However The NWC disowned Victor Gaidom, who earlier claimed to be the Acting National Chairman.

The NWC insisted that Gaidom membership of NWC ceased when he resigned to contest the Deputy Governorship position in Rivers State.

National Vice Chairman, South South, Chief Hilary Eta, who was elected to Chair the meeting, announced the seven-man Edo State Governorship Election Panel to conduct the June 22 primary.

He said the National Working Committee has constituted a seven member electoral panel ahead of the Edo Governship primary which has Imo State Governor Sen Hope Uzodinma as Chairman while Senator Ajibola Bashiru will serve as the panel secretary.

Eta also announced the composition of a five-man Election Appeal Panel headed by Prof. Mustapha Bello and Dr. Kayode Ajulo as the secretary of the panel.
