Woman escapes death in Akure road accident

A middle aged woman escaped death by whiskers in a road accident when a private car, rammed into the fence of Chief Olu Falae’s residence Akure, along Oba Ile Airport road, the Ondo State capital.

The lone accident which occurred around 1pm involved a blue Lexus Ex 350 with registration number Lagos KRV 715 FR.

An eye witness account said the driver of the Lexus car, while driving fron Fiwasaye roundabout towards Oba-ile roadwas on top speed.

He was said to have hit the middle road divider and jumped back to the road where a female food vendor was passing by with her cart.

It was further revealed that the vehicle hit the woman and Chief Olu Falae’s residence.

Meanwhile, the two occupants of the car reportedly sustained injuries, but the woman was said to have broken leg.

Speaking with our correspondent, policemen from the Oba-ile Police Division who were at the scene said the three accident victims have been taken to Police Clinic where they were to receiving treatment.
