A teenage girl who fell victim of gang rape by two suspected rapists in Ado-Ekiti, capital of Ekiti state has recounted her ordeal.

The teenager a 17-year-old student of one of the public secondary schools in the state was gang raped by two persons around Post Office , along Oja Oba, Ado-Ekiti.

The victim currently recuperating in an undisclosed hospital in Ado-Ekiti, hawks sachet water in the area.

She said on the fateful day she was hawking sachet water which she said has become her daily activities since schools have closed ocassioned by covid-19 pandemic.

She said she has sold her goods on the fateful day when he was going home at about 7:15 pm some boys suddenly emerged from an uncompleted building of the luckup shops built by the immediate past administration Mr Ayodele Fayose in the area.

“One of them called me that he wanted to buy sachet water, I replied him immediately that I have sold them, while the second person was standing at a distance, the first person that asked me if I had sachet water, immediately moved closer to me and held me, he dragged me to a corner inside the uncompleted building where I was sexually assaulted

“I raised an alarm, if I could get help from the passers-by, but one of the suspects told me that they will killed me if I raised alarm again. I immediately thought over myself that I did not want my case to be like that of the late University of Benin student, Uweila Omozuwa

“Few minutes after this , an aged woman came inside the uncompleted buildings to ease herself, immediately they sighted her, they ran away from the scene, it was the woman that later raised alarm and invited other people to the scene

“It was the woman and other sympathisers that later reported the matter in Okesa police station. The police later brought me to this hospital where am currently receiving treatment” she stated.
