
In a bid to curtail the further spread of COVID-19 pandemic. the Ondo State government is considering setting up testing centres in all the 18 local governments areas of the state.
The state governor, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN, made this known on Thursday while responding to the Igbotako born politician, Dr Jimoh Ibrahim, who called on him at the Government House, Akure.
Dr Jimoh Ibrahim who was in the governor’s house to donate the sum of N40 million to the state government in support of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in the state asked that the current approach of the Government in tackling the spread of the disease should be replicated in all the 18 local governments areas of the state.
The Igbotako born business mogul cum politician said the lockdown period is just for Government to work out comprehensive plans for the citizenry.
He commended the Ondo state Government for various steps taken so far to curb the spread of the Pandemic in the state.
Akeredolu who commended Dr Jimoh Ibrahim for his love for Ondo state with the establishment of the first private university in the southern senatorial district of the state called on the people of the state to ensure that all the protocols established are followed strictly.
