The people of Akoko North East Local Government Area of Ondo State yesterday shared 2000 packs of Covid-19 palliative.The palliatives which contains a congo of Gari, rice, beans, four sachets of noodles was shared in a 50 members meeting chaired by the Commissioner of land and housing, Hon. Fatai Olotu.
Present at the the meeting are political leaders, community leaders, religious leaders, union leaders and security operatives as 10 packs each was shared per voting units of each ward of the local government.Speaking at the meeting, Fatai Olotu said the palliatives are to be given to vulnerable people in the society and not for party members alone. He noted that health issues should not be politicized.In his own words, the Minority Leader of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Rashid Elegbeleye thanked the state governor and other donor of the palliatives. He reiterated the need for the curfew imposed on the state urging the people of the local government to be law abiding.Photo news
