A 27 year old housewife, Morenikeji Bello, has been allegedly beaten to death by her co-tenant in Arigidi Akoko, in Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo state.
It was gathered that the deceased was beaten to death during a scuffle with one of her co-tenants, Foluke Olanipekun, over a minor misunderstanding.
The scuffle between the two tenants in Ogo Street Arigidi-Akoko was said to have led to the death of Morenikeji Bello who was described as an easy going person by sympathizers.
Eyewitnesses said that It was a protracted misunderstanding between two families as the warring families reportedly faced each other in free for all in the night.
It was gathered that the altercations took a new dimension when late Morenikeji allegedly slumped and died during the scuffle.
A neighbor who pleaded anonymity described Foluke as trouble maker who has been divorced a long time ago, saying Morenikeji was an easy going woman and described her death as unfortunate.
He said the 40 year old Foluke, and two of her children descended on the deceased and beat her to death.
He added that the 27 year old woman gave up before she could be rushed to State Speacialist Hospital, Ikare where her remains were said to have been deposited at its mortuary, while Mrs Foluke Olanipekun, and her two children who involved in the attack of late Bello had been arrested.
Confirming the suspects arrest, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Oke Agbe Akoko Division, Ibitayo Adetanranmi said investigation had begun into the incident while he said the suspects would be transferred to the State Police Command headquarters in Akure.
