Some gunmen perceived to be kidnappers have shot a staff of the Emure Local Government in Ekiti State Mr Abayomi Ajayi dead on Wednesday afternoon.
Abayomi was shot dead while returning from work on Ise-Ikere Ekiti roads.
It was gathered that the victim tried to make a U-turn to escape from the scene on sighting the armed men on the roads.
The gunmen was however said to have shot him dead when they noticed he was trying to escape with the occupants of the vehicle.
After Mr. Ajayi was killed, the coordinator of Primary Health Care for the local government, Dr. Fashina and an Administrative Officer of the council, Mr. Onaade were abducted.
The kidnappers were said to be demanding 10million naira from the families of Dr. Fashina and Mr Onaade before they can be freed.
