2019: Akeredolu’s aide resigns, joins PDP

Ahead of 2019 general elections, Benson Enikuomehin, the Senior Special Assistant to Govenor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Oil and Gas has resigned his appointment and joined the opposition, People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Enikuomehin in a letter of resignation addressed to Governor Akeredolu and obtained by Kakaki Newspot, Enikuomehin thanked the governor for given him chance to serve in that capacity.

The two paragraphed letter read:

“I write to resign my appointment forthwith as the Senior Special Assistant to Mr. Governor on Oil and Gas.

“I am indeed Grateful to the Governor for the opportunity to serve.”

Responding to the resignation, the Commissioner for information in the State, Yemi Olowolabi in a chat with newsmen in Akure wished him well in his future endeavours.

PDP welcome Enikuomehin back to its fold

“Today we welcome Dr Benson Enikuomehin, former Senior Special Assistant to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu as he dropped the APC filthy broom for the Umbrella of PDP.

“Benson is one of the cerebral technocrats that dominate the political turf of Ondo State. He is heartily welcome back to our fold.”
