The Ondo North Senatorial candidate for the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Pastor Jide Ipinsagba has been abducted along with the state chairman of the party, Bisi Ogungbemi by unknown gunmen.
The dare devil kidnappers was at it again on Wednesday as Ipinsagba, Ogungbemi and three other chieftains of the party in Ondo state were maliciously kidnapped along the deplorable Owo – Ikare Akoko expressway on their way going to Akure, the Ondo State capital.
According to a source, the incident occurred at about seven o’clock yesterday evening when they were said to be on their way from Akoko to Akure after a political outing.
It was gathered that the vehicles of the victims were left at the road side by the abductors while information of their whereabouts is still sketchy as at the time of filling this reports.
Others kidnapped alongside Ipinsagba and Ogungbemi were his driver and another chieftain of the party, princess Abdulkareem.
Ipinsagba had recently dumped the ruling APC and joined ADC to actualize his political aspiration.
The Ondo state police command or any other law enforcement agency are yet to react to the incident.
