A Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court sitting in Apo, Abuja, has ordered the final forfeiture of assets valued at over N8.9 billion and linked to businesswoman, Ms Aisha Achimugu, to the Federal Government.
The assets include jewellery valued at N4,645,170,294.90, 11 exotic vehicles worth N4,293,000,000, as well as $50,000 and N30 million in cash.
The order was granted on Thursday by Justice Jude Onwugbuzie following an application by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which sought the final forfeiture of the assets after investigations linked them to the businesswoman.
According to the anti-graft agency, the court held that the properties should be permanently forfeited to the Federal Government after the Commission established the legal basis for the application.
The forfeited assets comprise jewellery worth N4.645 billion (Four Billion, Six Hundred and Forty-Five Million, One Hundred and Seventy Thousand, Two Hundred and Ninety-Four Naira, Nine Kobo), 11 exotic vehicles valued at N4.293 billion (Four Billion, Two Hundred and Ninety-Three Million Naira), $50,000 (Fifty Thousand United States Dollars), and N30 million cash.
Justice Onwugbuzie, in his judgment delivered on Thursday, July 16, 2026, granted the EFCC’s application for the final forfeiture, effectively vesting ownership of the assets in the Federal Government.
The ruling marks the conclusion of the forfeiture proceedings initiated by the EFCC against the assets linked to Achimugu.
