Lagos Police Mourn DCP Khan Salihu

The Lagos State Police Command has announced the death of its Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Finance and Administration, DCP Khan Salihu.

Salihu died on Monday, June 15, 2026, according to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi.

The Command described the late officer as a dedicated and disciplined police administrator whose service contributed significantly to the effective management of the Lagos State Police Command.

“The news of his demise came as a profound shock and a painful loss to the officers and men of the Command,” the statement said.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Tijani Olaiwola Fatai, on behalf of officers and men of the Command, expressed condolences to the deceased’s family, friends and colleagues.

According to the statement, Salihu served the Nigeria Police Force with professionalism, loyalty and integrity, earning respect for his diligence, leadership qualities and commitment to duty.

The Command noted that his administrative expertise and contributions enhanced operational efficiency within the Lagos State Police Command during his years of service.

“DCP Khan Salihu will be fondly remembered for his dedication, humility, professionalism, and selfless service to the nation and the Nigeria Police Force,” the statement added.

The Command prayed for the repose of his soul and for strength for his family to bear the loss.
