Former governor of Ekiti State, Mr Ayodele Fayose, has again asked the Federal Government and All Progressives Congress, APC, to revealed those behind the recent killing in Zamfara State by armed bandits.
Fayose in his Twitter post said, the Zamfara killing is to achieve the sinister aim of imposing emergency rule on the State, thereby postponing gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections because APC cannot field candidates in the 2019 elections
He said he had never seen a state governor asking that emergency rule be imposed on his State. Adding that Zamfara is the first.
He tweeted, “Nigerians must now ask the APC led FG who are behind the renewed Zamfara killings. Is it to achieve the sinister aim of imposing emergency rule on the state thereby postponing gubernatorial and house of Assembly elections because APC cannot field candidates in the 2019 elections?”
“I have never seen a state governor asking that emergency rule be imposed on his State. I think Zamfara will be the first and Nigerians should remember that I said it two days ago that there was plot to impose emergency rule on the state because APC cannot field candidates.

Fayose had earlier alleged that the ultimate goal of the planned emergency rule was to pave way for a fresh electoral process in the state so that the All Progressives Congress could field candidates for elections in the state.
The former governor, who is the Southwest Coordinator of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council, alleged that the plot was a reaction to Independent National Electoral Commission’s refusal to allow APC field candidates for 2019 general election in Zamfara State due to non-compliance with the Electoral Act.
