Sanwo-Olu Celebrates Lagos APC Chairman Ojelabi At 68

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has felicitated the Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, on his 68th birthday, describing him as a committed progressive, seasoned administrator and party leader whose contributions have strengthened the ruling party and advanced the development of Lagos State.

The governor commended Ojelabi’s steadfastness, integrity and dedication to public service, saying his years of service in different capacities have positively impacted the APC, Lagos State and the country.

The congratulatory message was contained in a statement made available to journalists on Friday by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile.

Sanwo-Olu said Ojelabi had distinguished himself as a religious leader, politician and administrator, using every office he occupied to promote good governance, mobilise support for the APC and deepen the ideals of progressive leadership in Lagos.

He noted that Ojelabi’s service as a former council chairman, commissioner and member of the House of Representatives underscored his commitment to the growth and development of the state.

“On behalf of my lovely wife, Ibijoke, the government and the good people of Lagos State, I join family, friends, political and religious associates, leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State to celebrate our chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, on his 68th birthday,” the governor said.

According to him, “Pastor Ojelabi has contributed significantly to our dear State and our party. He has served his community, the church, local government, constituency, Lagos and Nigeria in different capacities.”

Sanwo-Olu further said Ojelabi had demonstrated integrity, dedication and professionalism in every public office he had occupied, adding that as Lagos APC chairman, he had worked tirelessly with other party leaders and members to sustain the party’s dominance in the state for nearly three decades.

“As Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi celebrates his 68th birthday, I pray that he will be surrounded by good health, happiness and continued success,” the governor added.
