The Zenith Labour Party, Senatorial candidate for the Ondo North Senatorial District, Oloye(Mrs) Olasinmi Akindele Odunmbaku has urged her supporters and the entire electorates across the country to remain calm over the postponement of the election.

Odunmbaku said this in a press statements she signed and made available to Kakaki Newspot, saying it is absolutely unfortunate that citizens, international observers and the entire world woke up on the 16th of February, 2019 to learn that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has postponed the general elections.

She noted that the postponements are burdensome and worrisome on the lives of the voters who have traveled far and near to show special love for the developments of the country, their various senatorial districts and federal constituencies across the country through their votes.

The Senatorial Candidate however, urged Nigerians and the people of Ondo State, particularly Ondo North Senatorial District to remain calm and very hopeful, enjoining them not to be distracted by the postponement of the general election but determined to eject and reject unproductive representation of Ondo North at the Senate with their vote.

Olasinmi, the former Commissioner for Women Affairs in the past administration stressed her commitment to providing needed representation for the good people of Ondo North at the Senate.

The statements read in parts;

It is absolutely unfortunate that citizens, international observers and the entire world woke up on the 16th of February, 2019 to learn that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has postponed the presidential election and election into the National Assembly by one week.

The postponements are burdensome, worrisome on the lives of the voters who have traveled far and near to show special love for the development of Ondo North Senatorial District and other parts of the country through their votes.

However, I urge fellow Nigerians and the good people of Ondo State, particularly Ondo North Senatorial District to remain calm and very hopeful as we will not be distracted by the postponement of the general election as we are determined to eject and reject unproductive representation of Ondo North at the Senate.

I am continually committed to providing needed representation for the good people of Ondo North at the Senate.
