Group urges residents to keep off electrical cables as BEDC set to test run rehabilitated facilities

A non governmental organisation under the aegis of Bring Back Our Light (BBOL) that took an active part in the vanguard of the latest effort to restore electricity to four affected local governments that were illegally disconnected from the national grid by BEDC in Ondo State has enjoined residents in all communities in the affected areas to keep off electrical cables and should not toy with any suspected damaged cables.

This was said to be in connection with the pre-test on the long-time disconnected electricity facilities before next week following its rehabilitation by the Federal Government.

The notification was contained in a press statement issued on Wednesday and cosigned by the Convener of the group, Pastor Akinrinlola Olumide and Secretary Planning Implementation Committee, Comr. Dare Omopariola

According to the statement, The aim was to energize the lines to be able to detect if the feeders can power those rehabilitated lines.

Keep Off Electrical Cables As BEDC Set To Test Run Rehabilitated Facilities.

This is to notify all the residents in Ondo South that there will be a pre-test on the long-time disconnected electricity facilities before next week following its rehabilitation by the Federal Government.

The aim is to energize the lines to be able to detect if the feeders can power those rehabilitated lines.

The pre-test shall take off from Omotosho to Ode-Aye and pass through Okitipupa to Igbokoda down to the riverine communities after the 33kva line transporting electricity to these areas have been rehabilitated.

We enjoin residents in all our communities in these areas to keep off electrical cables and not toy with any suspected damaged cables. More so, all residents must ensure that all electrical appliances are always well switched off to avoid known -unknown electrical accident.

The people of Ondo South should take this notice as serious and life-saving. We also advise that anyone who sees this piece of information should assist inform one or two person within their environment.
