
Combined efforts of men of the Nigerian Army and Police Force in Calabar, the Cross River State capital, have foiled a robbery attempt on a first generation bank in the state.

Five of the robbers were killed in a gun battle with the Police along Mary Slessor Avenue,Calabar.
The gun battle lasted for about 30 minutes while residents scampered for safety but trooped into the police station to catch a glimpse of the robbers after the gun show.
