The Ondo State Police Command on Thursday paraded a middle aged man, Ogunlade Tunde for raping and disflowering a 20-year old physically challenged girl in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
During interrogation with journalists, Ogunlade confessed that he actually committed the crime even though he blamed his action on the devil which lured him against his conscience.
According to him, ” I put my hand around her waist and she embraced me, there after blood was found in the bathroom and we used available water to clean the mess”.
The Police Public Relation Officer, Mr. Femi Joseph who paraded the suspect before newsmen at the Police Headquarters in Akure, disclosed that the suspect took the advantage of the lady’s handicapped situation to satisfy his lust.
According to Mr. Joseph, the mother of the victim, Mrs. Ogunbiyi Oluranti reported the matter to the Police at the B Division, Oke Aro Akure when she suspected a foul play with her daughter at a house opposite their residence by a Carpenter which the lady later identified as Ogunlade.
Mr. Joseph further disclosed that the suspected autistic child was raped in the bathroom of a house opposite their house when she went to greet the owner of the House, an 80 year old, Mrs. Fagbamigbe.
Mrs. Fagbamigbe, it was gathered was away when the incident happened and Tunde Ogunlade a carpenter Age 50yrs who was working in the house took advantage of her condition and raped her.
Mr. Joseph however assured that the suspect shall be arraigned in court on Friday, November 16, 2018 to ensure that justice takes its course.
